BSRC MakerSpace

The BSRC Makers' Space is a groundbreaking initiative launched by Team Mad About Robots, aimed at making our robotics lab accessible to everyone in our school and broader community. This space is designed to empower students to dive into the exciting world of STEM, offering them access to cutting-edge resources and tools, regardless of whether they are official members of the club. By fostering innovation and collaboration, the BSRC Makers' Space ensures that every student in our community has the opportunity to explore, create, and grow in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Breed

Our Mission

-Benefit 50,000 students by 2026 by sharing the robotics lab with them so that they can use it as a community

-Drive students towards robotics and STEM.

-Encourage the formation of a community of Gracious Professionals.

How does it help the community and the environment?

  • Most students do not have a designated space or equipment to physically express their innovations and ideas related to STEM or robotics. This is one of the leading causes of gifted students not engaging in the STEM community.

  • It is no surprise that STEM and robotics is an expensive field making it less accessible to people all over the world.

  • We, opening our lab as a community MakerSpace which allows everyone to come and converse and collaborate with other members who have similar interests and clique

  • It gives a gateway to those who would have suppressed their ideas before, but now can make them into a reality.

OUR PROGRESS

So far, our robotics lab has been used by FTC Team Smashers to test their robot on our gamefield after building and modify the robot with our help.

A few ninth graders from our school have used the lab to enhance their Java skills with the help of our mentor.
