What is Green FIRST?

Pioneering a cleaner and greener world for tomorrow!

GREEN FIRST is a venture undertaken by BSRC for the betterment of the environment with a mission to cut down the rising global warming levels.

How will we do it?

We are doing this by first calculating our carbon footprint and then offsetting it.
We plan to invest in a public benefit corporation called NATIVE to fund a project in Northern Tanzania.
This project involves planting the equivalent amount of trees to offset the carbon emissions.

We also plan to help other FIRST teams offset their carbon footprint either by giving them funds for this purpose or simply providing them details of how to offset their carbon footprint.
FIRST teams can share various parameters with us which we will then use to calculate their carbon footprint. Based on this, we will be providing the required funds to these teams in order to offset their carbon footprint.
We want to create a global impact and help the FIRST community to do its part towards the environment.

We took registrations at the Freight Frenzy World Championships at Houston and received registrations from teams from all over the world!
